MLS'09 is the first conference of an annual series held under the auspices of the RNSC,  ISC PIF and IXXI
"Morphogenesis in Living Systems" 2009 is a joint deliverable of three FP6 NEST projects:

"Morphogenesis in Living Systems" 2009 aims at:

  • Presenting seminal keynote lectures and invited talks for the best illustration in the biology field of the Complex Systems living roadmap roadmap.csregistry.org/RNSCEN
  • Launching fruitful discussions about the future of the phenomenological, theoretical reconstruction and simulation of living systems embryogenesis and morphogenetic processes.
  • Stimulating original and high quality posters presentation with the attribution of the MLS'09 Poster Prizes, thanks to our sponsors Olympus, Micro-Controle Spectra Physics (Newport Group), Leica:
    • 1rst Prize (1000 €) Mariana Remesikova and coll. (STUBA Bratislava)
    • 2nd Prize (500 €) Barbara Rizzi (UNIBO Bologna)
    • 3rd Prize (500€) Louise Duloquin and Thierry Savy (CREA and DEPSN France)
    • Leica Special Prize for 4D visualisation Emmanuel Faure (CREA France) with the attribution of a camera Minox M3
  • Launching an international contest for 4D in toto imaging of model systems morphogenesis and 4D image processing (filtering, segmentation, tracking).
  • Dissemating the concepts underlying a new paradigm in integrative biology.
  • Reinforcing our efforts in  coordinating the european and international community exploring complex systems approaches of morphognetic processes in living systems.
